Personal del Área Telecomunicaciones de nuestra entidad trabajó durante la jornada de ayer y hoy en la restitución de equipamiento y servicios afectados por la intensa tormenta del pasado martes en el sector sudoeste del radio urbano.
Los trabajos se realizaron en diferentes puntos afectados por vientos y por caída de ramas sobre el tendido mientras que se centralizaron en el sector de calles Maipú y Avellaneda donde la voladura de un techo arrasó con el cableado de telecomunicaciones.
En la tarde de hoy se fueron terminando las tareas que consistieron, básicamente, en el reemplazo de una caja Multipares (para las conexiones por ADSL) y se hicieron fusiones de reparación en dos cajas de fibra óptica para activar nuevamente a pleno el sistema de los usuarios damnificados.
El área de Telecomunicaciones posee en la actualidad más de 1500 abonados telefónicos y uno 2250 abonados con accesos a la Red Internet discriminados en ADSL (internet por par telefónico), WIRELESS (internet por aire) y FIBRA OPTICA. También se brinda el servicio en zona rural.
En la actualidad se distribuyen unos 1350 Megabits en la red local, donde unos 600 Mb es tráfico a Internet y unos 750 Mb es tráfico desde los Cachés de Google, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp y Netflix, todos servidores alojados en el nodo de la CEHR. Los mismos están operativos desde 2018 salvo el Caché Google que lo hace desde 2017. Esto constituye un verdadero salto de calidad y todos juntos suponen hoy más del 60% de todo el tráfico distribuido.
El nivel de tráfico muestra un crecimiento del 50% con respecto al ejercicio anterior.
